the sensible thing to do will get the new car...the rx8 will be more reliable and last alot longer. the 240sx overtime will give u problem after problem. but if u really want my opinion and u plan on droppin 15k-20k on a rx8 why not just get the 350z or s2000

if you just want a car to cruise in and also have that sports car feel get a s14 with bolt ons and suspension, plus if you get a rx-8 parts and maintenance are gonna kill you if something goes wrong
i beg to differ...i've had 400hp rx7 (fd) and now my 240 which is far more reliable...as long as someone who does the swap is qualified (ie eugene or greaser) you'll be fine. parts are more plentiful...easier to work on...maintence is cheaper...and like i said pretty freaking reliable, i've had mine for about 2 years and i've driven it back and forth to new jersey twice...west virginia...rockingham nc...and almost everyweekend i drive up from jacksonville nc (4hr drive) and knock on wood, no major problems (not to mention its my only car thus a daily). and personally i think rx8's arent that easy to look at...240 styling is pretty timeless
