So I was pulled over in Hannover County last month for not having my front plate attached to my bumper. It was however displayed in the windshield, but I was still given a ticket. Anyone know how much the ticket is, or if it is worth it to go to court?
And just to let you know, having it in the windshield is unacceptable by virginia law. Must be displayed on the front bumper.
Not exactly true...the requirement is that the license plate is attached to the front and rear of the vehicle. There is nothing that states that it has to be on the front bumper. It is required that the plate is securely fastened to the vehicle to prevent swinging and is clearly visible and legible.

Which would mean nowhere other than the front bumper. Unless you plan on mounting it standing up on your hood.

Yeah, but they cant "see it clearly" if it is inside the vehicle...ive had that happen before...so unless you want to 3M that junk on the hood, id just leave it on the bumper.
