DETAILS
Basics: The car is a 5 SPEED 2003 Spectra Blue Metallic Lexus IS300. The interior is black leather with suede door panel inserts. This color combo is very rare especially because it's a manual. Most blue IS's have tan interior. The car also comes with a factory LSD - also a rarity. Current mileage is at approx. 80,xxx miles on the chassis and about 9,xxx miles on the built block and turbo setup. 03+ IS300's are more favorable because they come with darker tailights (gunmetalish color) and an arm rest. The car has every option besides Navi.
The car will come with a brand new VA safety inspection and brand new EMISSIONS inspection if you live in a county which requires emissions testing. You don't have to worry about emissions. I'll take care of it.
MODS
Interior: The interior is pretty much stock besides a set of gauges to monitor engine vitals.
- Turboeast 52mm gauge pod
- AEM wideband O2 gauge
- Autometer boost and EGT gauges.
- TRD leather shift knob
Exterior: I tried to keep the exterior as clean and simple as possible - no body mods except the rolled rear fenders.
- Brand new OEM headlights
- Brand new OEM Sport Design Grill with emblem
- Aerotect yellow fog light overlays
- 3M clear headlight film (uninstalled)
- 35% Ceraminc Tint all around
- Rear fenders rolled
Suspension, Wheels and Tires:
- Tein S-tech springs (perfect drop)
- Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Postions
- Recent Alignment (will provide spec sheet)
Powertrain:
- The bottom end has TT Supra (GTE) internals - good for ~850HP. Which includes pistons, rods, and a brand new crank. The setup was built and professionally tuned by Peter Farrell Supercars in Frederick, MD.
- Custom modified high flow supra oil pump
- Garrett 60-1 Turbocharger (don't know exact specs)
- Tial 38mm Wastegate
- Tubular Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold
- Turboeast Built 3" Stainless Steel Downpipe
- Turboeast Built 3" Stainless Steel Racepipe
- Turboeast Fuel Return System with custom mounted fuel pressure gauge on the stock rail
- Custom 3” Exhaust with a black anondized Apexi muffler
- 22x9x3 Large Front Mount Intercooler Polished
- Custom Silicone Couplers with Stainless Steel Lined Clamps
- Turboeast Built Mandrel Bent Intercooler Piping with Bead Rolled Ends
- Upgraded 440cc Injectors
- Greddy Emange with Ignition and Injector Harness
- HKS Super Sequential BOV
- Walbro Fuel Pump
- NGK Colder Spark Plugs
- Turboeast Air Filter
- All Fittings, Hardware, and Gaskets
- Manual Boost Controller
- Turboeast 02 simulator (no check engine lights)
- Brand New Optima Red Top Battery
How it drives:
Boost is currently set at only 7-8 PSI but it can be safely increased to ~11 PSI (injector limited). At 8 PSI, the car responds very well. It has a wide and usable powerband. Not much lag here – 3.0L inline six. At 9 PSI, the car made 364 RWHP and 342 FT/LBS of torque. I imagine at 11 PSI that the car makes close to 390 RWHP according to the butt dyno. I’ve only turned the boost up to 11 PSI for a few days. I realized that I have no need for that much power from this car and also traction becomes an issue in the cold. The car drives really well. The exhaust is fairly quiet and the power comes on really smooth until the Tial wastegate opens up – it screams. Just imagine a luxury car with power steering, cold A/C, and 390 horses on tap.
Driving in the city I get about 19 MPG and on the highway about 26 MPG with cruise control. Average mileage per tank in the city is about 300 miles and on the highway is around 365 miles.
Want more power? Upgrade the trans, injectors, get a tune, up the boost and you'll have close to or over 500HP just like that.
PIC(S): I will be posting more asap.
Price: If you are applying for a loan, I personally recommend Apple Federal Credit Union if you are a student or Capital One Auto Finanance. To make my asking price more reasonable, I decided to remove the Work wheels to sell them separately. The car will be sold with stock wheels.
- Assesed value by NADA is at approx $18,000.
- Asking price: $20,000
Any questions? Please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking.
