Default check engine light

i need help. i have a 96 hatch with a b16 and the check engine light is on and cant check it. i have a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness. if anyone can help please post

should still be able to check it by jumping over the terminals, mine is converted also and i can still check them

look for the little blue plug thats not plugged in, with only 2 wires going into it, jump it with a wire or paper clip, put the key in so the radio turns on, but dont start the car, then count the engine light as it flashes. The slower flashes are the first number, the second fast flashes are the second number. Post up the code after you find out what it is.

yea i know all that. tried it and the check engine light stayed on and never flashed. im thinking bad ecu. any other thoughts would help. i appreciate the replys

Did this just happen? A solid CEL is either an ECU or adapter harness problem, or if the ECU is chipped, it's chipped wrong or the chip has a major corruption problem..
