how come my blow off valve dont whistle when you rev it up like wrx's? or is it just common that it only works when your driving?

 

plus my bov vacuum goes through my fuel pressure regulator hose...maybe thats the problem?

 

It all depends...If your turbo is too big, you wont build up enough boost when the car isnt under a load. My car doesnt blow off at a stand still and I run 17 psi. Take for example...A wrx has more displacment than your civic and a fairly small turbo. He builds more boost at a stand still and has a smaller turbo therefore blows off while standing. Does this answer your queston?

 

So you just want to sit still, rev up your motor just so you can hear your BOV??

You can't hear a stock WRX bov. But I call bullshit on this whole thread anyway..

 

a stock wrx bov is recirc so you cannot hear it, you can hear an after market bov on a wrx because f like they said more displacement and a smaller turbo
