when does the dmv suspend your liscense?
i just got a ticket today for doing 71/40 but the cop didn't give me a reckless. i'm wondering about how many points in the negative does the dmv suspend you licenses. i have tickets prior to this within the last two years. if someone knows let me know and i don't want people posting how stupid i am for speeding or any smartass remarks.

Infractions= 1pt
Misdemeanors= 2pts
Felonies= 3pts
Allowed 4pts a year.
You get +1pt a year for a clean driving record, up to 5pts.
Driver improvement = +2pts
Also, the dmv will also suspend your license if your insurance lapses.
Not this situation, but worth throwing out there. I know a couple people who had it happen to them.

yeah i just wanted to know because i was caught earlier this year in loundon and got a reckless. and i think i got a speeding last year. so thats a total of about 14points. i think after this one i'm going to be at -8
they'll write you a letter giving you a deadline though, they'll fuck you if you ever get caught driving without insurance though. $500 fine + sr22, and thats just the dmv.
The last time I took it, it was every 2 years. I have done it 3 or 4 times. It gives you +5 points BTW, not 2 points as previously stated above, unless the court orders you to take the class, then you get none. You can also not have over +5 points, and it doesn't lower your insurance if you take it until your MUCH older.
