AAA TIDEWATER VIRGINIA AND HOFFMAN BEVERAGE COMPANY


AAA Tidewater Virginia, in cooperation with Anheuser-Busch and Hoffman Beverage Co., will offer Tow To Go service in the Hampton Roads community this holiday season. Motorists, bartenders, restaurant managers, party hosts or passengers of a drinking driver can call (757) 631-1700 between these dates and request a free Tow To Go home during this holiday season. Callers simply tell the dispatcher, "I need a Tow To Go," to receive both the free tow and ride home. The goal of the program is to provide a safe alternative to drinking and driving on area roads. The service will be available in the Greater Hampton Roads area from 9:00 p.m. December 14th, 2007 until 6:00 a.m. on New Year's Day, January 1st, 2008.

"Callers need to keep in mind that the service excludes rides for passengers, is restricted to a one-way, one-time ride for the driver, and the destination is limited to the driver’s residence. Reservations are not accepted, and the tows are available in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown and Williamsburg areas."

 

Thats pretty neat. I really like the idea of that one commercial where they order the pizza for delivery and ride home with the delivery guy hahaha.

Only problem is that when you're smashed and are the type of person to drive dunk anyway I doubt you'll be thinking about calling for a tow.

 

if one person puts it to use it could save a life.. hell it could be one of us it saves... never hurts to put it out there!
