So today my hubby bought me a 1979 Kawasaki KZ 650. Not my bike of choice...I am a Honda Fan. I am excited none the less! I will be cafe racering it out. I am going to go through the whole bike. Break down cleanup paint powder coating rebuild carbs and petcock fork seals...the works. I finally have my chance to learn!
Ok so^^^ here are my before pics! I have a lot of work ahead of me! I am going to break it down first cut off unneed stuff off the frame...like passenger footpegs. and clean clean clean. I am going to ceramic coat the exhaust system cleanup the frame and shoot it black. I am going to clean the engine up and leave it bare metal. I will be getting all new cables and lines eliminating all lighting except for the headlight...lol getting rid of the current seat, tail section, rear fender and getting a cafe tail and seat combo. I will be getting different handle bars...not sure if I will keep both mirrors or just leaving the left 1. I will be powder coating the rims and front fender a silver super chrome. Not sure what color I will be doing for the paint...but it will be custom!
pet COCK... haha I dont teven know what that is, but it sounds funny. lol PET COCK
Ha Ha yes that is a very funny word...we have had lots of fun with it. It is what controls the gas from the tank it usually has off, on and reserve and is more prevelant on older bikes.
