i have an h23 in my del sol and its pretty good, like a b16 with more torque

H-series is a good way to go. that swap is pretty easy. if you can go with the h22 head with the 23 bottom end

well from what i can tell the trannys are the same and ive also heard they eat out spindles on stock axels im wondering if its more money than its worth

I had a eg 4 door with a h22 in it and was great. I never had any problems with it or the axles

wire actuated trans suck ass. better off just doing a b-series swap. or you could go and get a H2B or H2D swap kit...

But you will then have issues with oil starvation in the block. Therefore drilling would be required. The H23/22 hybrid isn't as reliable as just doing an H22A swap. Not worth it IMO. You also have to swap tensioners.

But just an H23A Del Sol should be pretty quick. Good amount of torque for the weight. And they are cheap too so I say do it!
