Need a deal on tires
Hey,
I needed some electronics installed and Jeremy at MyerEmco came through for me, now I need some tires so thought I would give VADriven a try.
I need a good deal on tires. Anyone work at Merchants, goodyear, firestone, costco, BJ's or the like?
I want an employee discount on 4 michelins for an 02 accord coupe.
205/60/16 please. I will also take "take off's" w/ rims if the tires are in excellent condition. Cash in hand and ready to deal.
Will offer you 25 dollar Sears gift card for the discount. Another card if you can install them on the side, otherwise I will carry them out. I am not paying the shop for installation.
Weekend looks good for me to pick up. I am in Fairfax, the closer the better.

I know about tirerack and I know that NTB and Merchants will match their price plus 16 bucks per tire, but I know employees get better deals and I will scratch your back if you scratch mine.
I can get them for 149 each for Micheline MV4's with a buy 3 get one free, but they will not do carryout. They want to charge me over $100 more for mounting and balanceing and shop fees. Wack. Comes to over $550, which hurts.

I know it is not difficult, I used to work at a Firestone way back when. But time/effort should be paid accordingly and not everyone has access to the machines.
Basically I am asking someone to hook me up with their discount, install them and I will pay you 50 dollars in sears gift cards. Should not be any sweat of anyone's back.

"More than 10 percent of the $58.3 billion in gift cards bought this year won't be used, according to Needham, Mass.-based consulting-firm TowerGroup."
Very different from what you stated.
And I know there is a pretty small margin in tires for dealerships, Tirerack is better, but I remember when I was at Firestone we got a killer deal.
And I know that some dealerships offer "take off's" rim/tire package very cheap. I can get brand new alloy wheels and tires for a corolla (2003?) for under 200 bucks.
