OBD downgrade?
So my 94' Del sol was swapped with an 01' LS motor. That's OBD II. The Dizzy is OBD II. So, my guess is the whole car is- somehow. So I bought an OBD I Chipped ECU, and I need to know what I need to do to get it working with it. Do I only need the harness? Do i need to change Dizzy's? The whole harness?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: OBD downgrade?
if you retained the motor harness that came with your car (NOT the LS motor harness), then there is no need for a conversion harness. 92-95 civics are all OBD1. All you have to do is rewire the distributor plug to match OBD2....

Re: OBD downgrade?
What ecu are you running now? If the car is currently running with the swap, sounds like you shouldn't have to do anything but swap ecu's? You can re-pin an OBDII dizzy to work on an OBDI harness.
Your post is a little confusing.

Re: OBD downgrade?
The car is running perfect on a P75. Almost positive it's OBD II. I'll take some pics of the plugs, maybe someone can tell after that?
I bought an OBD I chopped P75.
Do I really need to change the dizzy, the dizzy harness, and the alternator?
Also, am I OBDIIa or OBDIIb?

Re: OBD downgrade?
See if your ecu plug looks like the one below.
If it does, you have an OBDI harness (cabin side), you may have an OBDII integra engine harness, either way, if its running of an OBDI ecu, you should have no trouble plugging in your new ecu and being done.
01' would be OBDIIb.
This is an OBDIIB ecu: (Thanks to FF-Squad)

Re: OBD downgrade?
Well, I simply plugged in my new ECU.
Worked like a charm.
Now i have a Virgin P75. What are they worth? Should I keep it just in case?
