sorry for not being a dsm guy, but what is so bad about these cars? they have a 2.0 DOHC, so whats the problem? obviously its N/A but so is the GS. does the GS have the same internals as the GS-T or GSX just without the turbo or what? just wondering because a friend just bought an RS a 2g RS for 3500 in very good condition, and i was just wondering what was so bad.

The motor isn't as strong but it is very capable after internal upgrades and a nice turbo kit.

It's front wheel drive and heavy. Got its motor from the neon so it gets kinda a bad reputation from there. Also, the RS has rear drums. : ( GS and up comes with discs.

If you wanna put the money into it on slicks the cars are nasty.

I think they get a bad rep because they're naturally compared to cars powered by 4g63.

Reminds me of mustangs and camaros. Sure you can make the v6 model decent...but it'll still pale in comparison to the ls1s and 4.6L.

great engine.. it's problem is that people look at the stock numbers.. modified (built motor, turboed) it can be a nasty car..
