Any VW Bug/Beetle guys out there?

So my wife has developed this old school VW Beetle fetish and i wont let her get one until she finds a local mechanic that knows Bugs.

is anyone out there a Beetle guy or does anyone know a local mechanic that works on beetles and that can explain to my wife what she's getting into? anything would help. thanks

When I first saw this thread I thought you'd just got a new beetle and I was going to shake my head. But luckily it was your wife and not you. Also it was an older beetle.
