Default Toyota 4x4 Question

I got a yota with a 22re motor in it, and im gonna put it in the mud, but alot of people are telling me them motors are no good, that they blow head gaskets alot, is that true?? If so, whats a good motor?? If not, how good is the motor?? Thanks

i thought only the early v6's had problems with head gaskets

a lot of early toyota racing was based off the 22r models..... its a good motor as far as i know. what kind of mud are you tryign to get through though.. because the only reason i would see is that a 4cyl cant handle crazy mudd ha but trails should hurt it. or maybe im completely wrong... my 01 doesnt have a 22r but its a 4cyl and i <3 it

the v6s are junk wouldnt even waste my time and if somethin goes wrong with one its hard to build another one for less thean 2000$......and a 22re is a good ass motor they only blow headgaskets if u run them hot but if ur not a dumbass with the truck then you will be fine u just have to know your limits buddy.....if u need information just let me know

this man speaks the truth, although when i took my yota mudding, i was the only v6 and every one was I4 and i didnt get stuck

had a 22re for 2 years and no problems till just now. it ran hot and blew the head gasket. o well time for a 350 swap

thats whats coming if this one fails, just watched a few vids of some, cant wait. THINK IT WILL TURN 38.5s???

If it's geared with new axles, probable. stock drivetrain? say goodbye to your axles and your rear end.
