Well i took some scrap metal to that scrap yard right off witchduck road. that big green building. well i was looking at their blocks and i saw this one that looked a little different. well i was picking it up and looking and it was an LS block. well then i was like what the hell is that there for. well on the back where the bellhousing bolts up it said 5.7. so its an LS1 and i asked how much for it and they said that they will take about $100 for it. but i just had to post it so if anyone is interested in it better get there soon.
But where is this building? Need some metal for targets.
well when you go east on 264 toward the beach you get off at witchduck and then you will go under the overpass and then pass the light. once you are pasted the light it will be your next right and its the green building. beside sears building.
p.s. LS1 blocks are referred to as LSx or LS1's, not an LS block :-D
i really dont know much about it but i figured i would post on it so maybe someone will save the block. if its junk its junk but i figured i would let someone know about it.
youd be suprised what goes into these places, most folks in the scrap metal / junk car could care less about that sorta thing. i had an ls1 complete w/harness fs for a long time and ended up scrapping it. to a scrap guy an ls1 is much more a bigass hunk of aluminum then an engine with potential.
