Default vtec pressure switch

does any1 know why my ecu is throwing a vtec pressure switch code after crossing vtec in 5th gear?(only in 5th gear) with vtec crossing at 6000rpm at about 7000rpm the car wants to tach out and sounds like its hitting the rev limit any help is appreciated.

You sure only in 5th gear? Running a stock computer or chipped one? Stock one has a speed limiter in it usually comes in 115 to 120 somewhere between them two. Could be hitting that still unsure why it would throw pressure switch code, unless oil pressure is low.

Check your oil level. If your oil level is low, you could be starving oil at high RPM's or higher speed in which the VTEC oil pressure switch is recognizing.

Higher RPM/Higher Speed= more rotating parts= more oil demand

... which also means that the connector on the sensor could be getting loose...
