Need broken header stud extracted
One of the studs holding on my header broke off, and I need it extracted. None of the stud is sticking out of the hole. Where should I go and what am I looking to spend to get this done?
Yikes.
F that ish. Your problem is you don't have a turbo manifold hanging off it.
Any mechanic can get it out for you if they have the correct setup. It'll be friendly with your head aswell.
Don't you work for a dealership?

I agree. You're already there, so just ask around a little to find a good tech you'd be comfortable with doing the work. Talk to him and see what you guys can work out. I'm not a OMG TYPE R guy, but it is a nice car so I know you want the most professional work you can find and afford.
Drilling is going to be a pain, and impossible I would imagine, without a right-angle drill due to clearance.
Edit - keep me updated in NC mayne, I need to have the same thing done

When I broke the stud off in my alternator, I never even got the alternator out the engine bay, I drilled with a regular cordless drill till it snatched a little, the hit reverse and it came right out. If not, Anyone with a drill and a bolt extractor bit (We sell them at Autozone, my second job for a few bucks) can get it out easy
I've talked to a few guys, and the ones that would do it, don't have the right tools. I'd do it myself with a drill and an extractor, except for the fact that there's NO room to get a drill in there.
