naw the 40GB systems aren't backwards compatible. whats wrong with the PS3?

there nothing wrong with the console. It needs the new firmware update from here:

werd up. sounds like a good deal. wish that it was $300 like 3 days ago. i just bought an ipod touch since i couldn't get my hands on a cheap PS3. someone jump on this! if its still here by next friday then i'm getting it!
