I want to get rid of my EVAP (evaporative emissions control) system because i'm trying to clean up my engine bay. I realize i do need this to pass inspection (i believe). basically can i remove it and will it have any negative effects on my engine if i do?

i think you will throw a code, and the means running in gimp mode.

another way to get rid of it and not throw codes is to run Hondata.

I didn't have mine on my old EG.

Never tossed a code and I passed inspection.

But I also passed inspection being 1'' off the ground, a Greddy Evo exhaust, no front license plate, and many other failalbe offenses.

So I dunno!

 

I've never completely removed an evap system but on alot of vehicles theyre easy to relocate somewhere hidden.

 

you cant fail inspection for no front liscense plate?

but

police can pull you over for it though.
