so what exactly is this used for?

 

well...you can mount it flush on a wall...say..near an office desk...and have the one string of cables (hdmi, composite, vga,s video, ethernet, usb(for a printer)..it also has a surge protector on it w/ four a/c outlets..so itslike a powerstrip and a automatic sensing video switch all in one...then you can run it through your wall..out and into your tv..18ft away...its used for hotels. but it would be useful if you were to use it in a room...if no one wants it in the next couple of days..ima just put it on ebay with no reserve..whatver i get i dont care...
