ok, i jus bought a 91 eagle talon, besides the valve cover gasket leaking.. it smokes when it give it gas, if i get my valve stems resealed, will it stop? and when i get it up to around 4500 rpms the engine loses power, and bogs down... what would cause that, and whats the best way 2 clean out my injectors? i heard to run cam 2 in it......

 

sounds like a dying turbo.. check the shaftplay

 

my friends gsx did the same exact thing.. when he took it to the shop they looked at the turbo. they said that there was so much heat and friction the fan blades welded themselves to their housing. might wanna get that looked at pretty soon

 

if it smokes and smells horrible then it is most likely your turbo. i am finally getting my turbo back from getting rebuilt and yours sounds just like what mine was doing.

 

realize the truth.. there is no turbo. it is you who are smoking.

no but for real its a non turbo so it cant be the turbo going bad. get your valve stem seals replaced, check your spark plugs for oil and deposits, do a compression check.. it could be the piston rings as well. run synthetic oil (it doesnt burn). fark it who needs oil? just fill it up with no smoke!

 

replace the pcv valve too

 

I would guess piston rings. I bet it smells good.

 

Im not so sure running cam 2 is gonna solve a dirty injector problem. Cam 2 is leaded, meaning it will leave lead deposits. Is your car turbo or not?
