Default Good SVT cobra forum?

Looking for a good forum so I can help a friend of mine get into the cobra scene and find decent prices on parts. He just bought a silver 03 and looking for some pulleys. Anybody frequent or know which forum is best?

Thanks.

-Justin

All of the SVT specific forums are a joke, including SVTOA and SVTP.
The classifieds aren't bad, but I wouldn't recommend them for anything else.

Can't believe he traded the 02 Camaro SS for this . Many memories in that car.

Hopefully he keeps the Cobra for awhile.

The Cobra will be a very cool/fun car....not to mention the bullet proof block.

Yeah, big surprise at first to me too, but that car will be a lot of fun. I've always been a mustang hater and still am, lol, but if I had to have one that is the one to have.

Those cars are so easy to make power, he will be smoking me by the end of the month HaHa

Anyone know what mods can be done without requiring a tune? Can any pullies be upgraded or is a tune a supporting mod? I've read so far that the boost shouldn't be changed unless tuned right afterwards...

They use a MAF sensor which should be good up to a certain point before a retune is needed. Have to search around and let the little buddy know. But we all know he won't keep this car long. He goes through more cars then you sell service to in a month, bwwahahaha

I've been researching...you have to tune if you change any pullies...after you port the blower you have to do the MAF and use a boost-a-pump, not sure what that is but you will be at 500whp...he can get to 450whp just by replacing pullies and doing tune...I think we can probly tune it if he gets the programmer...its actually not to expensive to get there either...

I really think he'll keep it, he loved the lightning and kept that for a while and this is more fun already. As much as I hate to say it, it will run circles around the camaro and the vette with just a few hundred dollars.

Good thing we never race each other!

Well, it won't run circles, it will go faster in a straight line!
