CRX motor Swap need Help!
I have a 90 Honda CRX DX. Right now it has the DPI D15 in it. I want to install a ZC motor D16 like that are in the CRX Si's. Do I just need the ECU for the motor or what? Is the wiring harness different? Please help me! Reply to this thread ot PM.

Re: CRX motor Swap need Help!
its really quite a simple swap...
1. get the zc... you dont need a trans, as your d15 one will bolt right up...
2. drop the zc into your existing motor mounts (no modification necessary)
3. wire up your new engine for MPFI (instead of your DX's DPFI... basically carbourated)
4. you can use the ecu from an 88-91 integra, as they have a more aggressive fuel and timing maps (I have the pm7 from the actual zc in my crx)
5.make sure you have the axles from the zc too!
6.also, get a resistor box because the injectors for the zc are saturated (I think that's the right one...)
overall, the swap is relatively easy... you'll notice a big gain in power, but id say double check your wiring for the DPFI-MPFI swap... i know mine had problems...
SOLDER AND HEATSHRINK ALL WIRES! <-- mucho importanto!

well all you have to do it get the wiring coversion. look it up. it tells you where wires will go. someone has write ups on it. but anyway. if you are going to put that motor in then you might want to get the tranny with it. them trannys have lsd in it and all you have to do is put the axles in that comes with the motor. if you just swap the motor then you dont need the axles.

Re: CRX motor Swap need Help!
well its not a convertion kit for the wiring. what you need to do it find a write up on how to do it. all you are doing is swapping dpfi to mpfi. basically you are going to four injectors instead of two that you have now. you need the computer and then you need the resistor box. and the alxes are the same as the da integras.

Re: CRX motor Swap need Help!
you should get a COMPLETE MOTOR set. as in motor itm tranny dizzy all that good stuff and etc. you do need a resistor box unless upgrading injectors. you will have to do a wire harness conversion. I don't think they come in KITS but can send them out with a complete si harness and they do the work for you. AS for DIY these should help...

Re: CRX motor Swap need Help!
You need a crx si dizzy
You need to convert to mpfi
You need a resistor box
You need a mpfi intake manifold with all 4 injectors
