Alright heres the deal , before I get myself in too deep I'm trying to find some info on putting an Lt1 motor into the 89 nissan hardbody truck w/ 5sp 2wd ex-cab. I've found a shell for a good deal, and also a Lt1 motor complete w/ ecu.

 

look on the hardbody forums for info i've seen SBC in harbodys but it does not look fun at all

 

you can get that motor into anything you want. but summit racing sells a wiring harness that can run the motor with out the hassle of the wiring you have now. with this wiring harness you can put it on a jon boat if wanted. have fun and take pictures. we would like to see.

 

What about motor mounts? I know that there are lots of companies that make mounts for the 240sx 350 swap, and I know that the 89 hb has the ka24e in it. So I was thinking that I might be able to use the 240 swap mounts, is this correct?

 

I actually helped do a sbc swap in a frontier and we just fabbed up the motor/trans mounts ourselves. The wiring harness summit sells makes the swap a hell of alot more simple also. The biggest issue is the stock nissan rear holding up. For the frontier the owner had a ford 9" with a coil over 4 link in the rear.

new suspension all round.exhaust rear end . custome drive shaft. new wiring harness. make some steel mount or cut some off a rv. maybe coolin sytem and new fuel lines. probly got to modify firewall where tanny meets a lil. might be a good idea to add some roll bars inside. alot of apower for a frame not ment for it .

probly be easier and cheaper to just get a s10 and do this to .
