ok. i'm buying a si motor this summer and getting the jrsc kit. they got like 3 stages for this thing. like 3 pulleys 6 8 and 11lb. what is the limit till i need to start beefing the internals up.
i know alot of people run 8 lb pulleys on stock internals , not sure about an si motor though. maybe they can handle more? i dunno i thought id just let you know what i have seen.
there is no need to use a thicker head gasket at 8 psi. Get a decent fuel management (Hondata, CROME, ECTUNE, AEM EMS, Neptune, etc) and get it dyno tuned then call it a day.
you will benifit more from the 11 lb pully and like it more trust me the b16 will handle it fine the down fall to forced induction is detination as long as you dont have that then you will be fine just remember more air means more fuel ( fuel pump and injectors ) and matt shue is a dealer for neptune software witch is bout equivilant to hondata and he wil tune it at the same time he is really cheap and wil make your ride fast and reliable
