Lowering My first 240sx!!
I just purchased a 91 s13 240sx and im going lower it. What i need to know is how low can i take without rubbing or having to roll the fenders. im currently riding on stock aluminum wheel and tires. all advice will greatly appriciated
The only problem you'll run into on stock wheels with coilovers is that you'll probably need a spacer to clear them in the front (so you'll need spacers in the back too to even it out). Buy some 25mm spacers and put them as low as you can go, the stuff that you hit just smash with a hammer.
I think a lot depends on what you are going to use it for...DD, track, etc and what kind of expectations you have. I just got my 240 a month or two ago and did a cheap 1.5 " drop just for looks and handling. I'm hoping when I have the money to get a good set of coilovers so I can use it on the track more. The stock setup I have is ok but I'm really looking forward to dropping it more and stiffening the rest of the suspension.
As much shit that gets talked about them, I'd recommend the Megan Racing coilovers. I've had them for a little over a year and have been completely satisfied with them. And I've had it lowered as far as it would go and only had to take out the fender wells, no other rubbing.
Megans really are not that bad, but id save alittle more and get the stances if it's an option. On stock wheels though id just go with lowering springs and AGX's, I used S-Tech's and loved it.
