Apprenticeship Programs in Hampton Roads?
I am current looking for apprencticeship programs in Hampton Roads, I have search the web and really haven't found anything!! Are there any of you that are involved in a program. Any ideas where to find info?

apprentice for what? We can only assume you want to be a mechanic apprentice.... but I'll see what I can do, I think I know a butcher near there who might be looking for an apprentice. He runs a clean shop, you'd have to cut a lot of meat though, long hours, not really good pay. But I'll give him a call.

i went to the apprentice school. i graduated 2 years ago. its probably one of the best choices i have ever made. they build nuclear carriers and subs (the only place in the world that builds nuclear carriers, and one of 2 places taht builds subs. the other place is our sister yard in grotten conn.) right now i think the pay starts off at around 12-13$ an hour and you get a raise every 6 months. its a 4 year program. i am now a designer out there, and i wouldnt have changed anything i have done. its definately worth looking into
