Default george washington national forest

Anyone ever go up there for some wheelin? I know a lot of you guys stick to local spots or just head to do Nags Head to play in the sand, but the one time I was up at GWNF with some Jeeps guys it was an overall good time. From what I understand most of the area is all legally 4 wheel friendly. Just find a spot and camp, then pick a trail

Anyone interested in setting something up for a weekend camping trip? Preferably no one that is going to rape me in my sleep, and no wierdos

It's a pretty nice drive through the blue ridge into the ridge and valleys.

I live around the area, know most of the trails. I've been going up there since I was young.

I wouldn't mind going. If it storms, I get scared and I'll want to snuggle though

We usually go at least once or twice a year. I like Shoe Creek (Crabtree Meadows) and Stoney Run (Sherando Lake). Both are passable stock, but a little lift helps.

Beware 14 mb, but this is the definative guide.

I expect a trip in August or September.

Yeah the trip we went on last year (rode with a friend in his TJ) started at GWNF for a day/night, then went to Shoe Creek for 2days/1night. It was overall a good time, and was a BIG reason why I bought another Jeep after not owning one for nearly 4 years.
