Never used one before but was thinking about getting one to speed up the removal of paste waxes. Anyone used one? Any danger of damaging the clear coat or paint with a random orbital type?
If you dont know what you are doing you can definitely fuck the paint. I would advise to start off with a random orbital.
+a bazillion.... i have seen it done before... just do that bad boy by hand and then use a r. o. to shine it even more (if ur unsure of how to use one that is)..
It's not like you're using a grinder on your car, a buffer is just a cloth cover taped over soft foam buffer. I found that it let me spread a smaller amount of wax over a large area, too, which makes buffing go a LOT faster, too. If you hand apply the wax, the wax will be thicker, and you'll have to either pre-buff with a towel, or change out the cloth on the buffer a couple times as you do.
u can easily burn your paint up. and there are certain areas on cars that you cant use a buffer on like bumpers and around the door handles. get a orbital, they got the job done.
