As I was riding home today I saw 2 bikers down on two seperate occasions. just wondering if it was anyone on here.. First one was the on ramp to I64 w off of mercury right by the mall.. Rider was standing up so didnt look to bad. But This is the second rider I have seen go down here in the last 3 weeks.. Must be a nasty turn for a bike. Second accident didnt look to be as good as the first I seen.. This was on I64 e.. Looked liked a female rider on a stretcher but coulda been a pass for all i know. Bike was laid on its side towards hov lane.. Lots and Lots of medical help there for this one..Best of luck to these riders for a speedy recovery and hopefuly it was none of you all.. Be careful out there..
From the sound of it at least the first one was a single vehicle crash... or his fault. I don't think the number of accidents should discourage us from riding, I think the number of multi-vehicle accidents, or accidents probably caused/ involving cars should be the determining statistic when deciding if you just want to go track, or stop riding all together. If a person is reckless enough to get into an accident doesn't mean I am, so why would i stop just because there are a high number of accidents?
Wow. Wish I had the post from two years ago saying how stupid it was to say what you just said.
No, what I said is I think it is dumb to go to the track and then decide to never ride on the street. I am only basing my judgment on the number of people dying currently.
