okay before i went to work my car would start up then just die down, then when i tried to start it up it wouldnt turn over. now ijust got off work and it started up fine and i drove it around the block. what the hell is goin on?

maybe your battery cabel grounding?

i had the same issues, but it was my distributor, sk8rmike came over one afternoon and helped me replace it, turns out the ignitor went bad. i would check that to make sure.

I've seen distributor wiring issues cause problems similar to yours on Preludes. Also, if yiou battery cables are not properly connected or are shot, or your battery is shot, under the proper load it could shut your motor down.

if his ignitor/distr. shitted out on him the car wouldnt have ran again. i dunno what your problem could be...

yeah i dno the engine only has like 85k miles,and a new battery

just went outside and car started up fine and even idled normal, unlike before it would jump from 1k to 2.5k fericously until the engine heated up.

sorry, i didn tmean check the ignitor, i meant check the distributor, that can be a pretty big problem area..
