Does anyone else just hate driving in the Newport News/Hampton area?

And I’m not talking about the countless cell phone yakking kids.

The roads in this state just suck. If it isn’t torn up for construction it’s covered in pot holes. And never in my life have I seen an area with so many stop lights and nothing in the way of businesses to show for it.

I rarely enjoy driving anymore.

And building/repaving roads doesn't help...because they do such a shitty job, the roads feel worse than before...

 

didn't they fuck up building/repaving some part of the interstate recently? now they have to go redo it all over again.. correct me if i'm wrong

yeah the interstate floods bad right near j clyde. traffic blows around here

 

Especially when it takes 45 minutes to drive from Holland & Dam Neck to Diamond Springs rd like it did me on Friday at Noon.

 

anybody live in fox hill? they reduced the speed limit on fox hill rd. to 35mph, now its gonna take me an extra 2 minutes to get to school (sigh)...

 

Mercury was like that last year right under the overpass by the mall. Two lanes just merged into one with no warning or anything.

Try driving in Elizabeth City, where I'm at for school. Or better, yet, Detroit, which I have deemed has the absolutle worst roads of any major city in the US.

 

what i really can't stand is driving down warwick ppl always break for no reason, on their cell phones soo they dont pay attention and a lot of ppl drive below the speed limit,

and getting on 64 east near ft eustis the roads start out great until you get to hampton and it's all fucked up
