Default Gauge Cluster Question

i just got a new gauge cluster and i have never put one in before. im going from a cluster with no tach to one with a tach & indiglo gauges. my boyfriend is suppose to put it in but i was wanting to try and do it myself! i have a 92 civic hatch. how do i do this!!?? lol thanks

depending on the car, usually a new cluster requires pulling the dash apart a bit to get the old one out. Then getting the hookups in the back with very little slack in wires/cables.

You could do it, but its a PITA for anyone even if you've done it before.

HONDA CLUSTER = cake
there should be 2 screws above the cluster. Take those out and take off the cover. Then there are 4 screws in the actual cluster. 2 on top and 2 on bottom right corners. pull cluster out. pull cables off. put cables back into proper spots. Tach cable will be there already. then reverse and your done. total time 20mins for a begginer.

there is also a screw behind the emergency flasher button if you dont take that out it will crack the plastic piece.

well eric by the time he gets home from work its dark. shit if i can do it myself then i'd rather do it....i wanna learn how to do shit to my own car and not have to rely on him for everything!! i installed my projectors all by myself.....had to take the front bumper off and everything!!!! all he did was the wiring part! but with this cluster i would like to do it with someone there to help me and make sure i do it right.
