im asking because i dont know much about building a motor and wanted to build it myself i was going to do a little here and there while im going to ati in sept.
Your going to get a different opinion from everyone on here. In short, all aftermarket pistons will work (8.5-10.1 compression), all aftermarket rods will work, aftermarket sleeves are your friend, a sandwich adapter for oil supply, head studs to keep the head from lifting.

that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. My advice, get someone who has put motors together before to help you out. If youve never opened up a head and a block before, dont go trying to take it apart and put it back together. Get someone experienced to help you assemble it and explain everything. As far as products, theres about a million you can choose, and just about everyone has different opinions.
