Prelude Engine Swap or Rebuild

Prelude Engine Swap or Rebuild
Ok so i am Leighland and i have a 88 Prelude Si and i am rebuilding it from the ground up with the help of my father and a few friends. But my main problem or question is that the motor i have has around 200k miles and i don't know if it is better to rebuild this engine or if i should swap in a new engine. Now if i rebuild it what should i start with and if i swap a engine in what engines should i consider for the swap thank you. If anyone has any good ideas please reply on here or to me directly at lestone13@netscape.com
Thank You

Re: Prelude Engine Swap or Rebuild
From what I know, its cheaper to rebuild. However, a popular swap for the 3rd gen preludes is the b20 if i'm not mistaken. so..if you're on a low budget, rebuild it, but if you got cash to throw around, swap in a b20. Or if you're at baller status, drop in an h22.

Re: Prelude Engine Swap or Rebuild
no offense. but i wouldnt use an old prelude to spend so much money on. the value of it is already crap being 20 years old. and there is no market for such car if you do decide to resell. also, you're going to be paying more for parts for it, than civic/integra parts because there are less to choose from.
not what you asked, but just trying to help.
