Hey guys well after bending all of my intake valves the head is back on my car and running but it boggs like crazy at idle.
Here is the set up:
D16a6 with gasket matched head IM and header (DC Sports).
3- layer D16z6 head gasket.
Skunk2 60mm TB and Skunk2 IM.
All stock fuel system.
Was tuned with Crome.
Just for kicks we tried another stock PM6 and PM9 ECU and no change. (I was hoping for a glitch from the Crome)
Any help would be great. Please don’t PM me telling me you can fix my car. As I can fix it I just need an idea where to start.
After you reassembled everything, did you calibrate the throttle position sensor? Does it run fine off idle?
Yeah we took a Ohm reading from the TPS before we took it off the original TB and when I installed it on the new unit I made sure all the #'s were very close (within .002).
Off idle? It seems to run fine when it gets past idle when its sitting in the drive way at least (I haven't driven it but I'll ask my dad he drove it around the block)
You need a voltage reading, an ohm reading won't tell you much, unless you calculate the voltage using ohm's law and hope that you have a solid reference voltage.
I guess it should be close enough the way you did it though. I'm guessing you probably have something like a vacuum line hooked up in the wrong place or something like that.

I like reading your posts when people have engine problems. I dont think I have ever seen you write anything mean or assholish... just always tryin to fix whatever problem the OP is having as best you can.
