Name: steve Location: Chatham, VA Contact: 540-493-4795 Call this number for the quickest response, I will not be able to check PM's as often as I would like.
Looking to trade my 1989 325i for a Jeep wrangler that is not eat up with rust. Even trades only please, I'm not interested in parting with any cash on my part.
Okay, about the car. It's a 1989 325i which means it has the sohc inline 6. This car has plenty of power to spare and gets great gas mileage, (I use the car everyday to get to work). It has new brakes all the way around and I also installed new shocks and struts as well. The car handles great, just like a BMW should. It has good tires, good inspection, and the heat and AC work. The dash is flawless without any cracks! The body of the car is very solid. The fenders, quaterpanels, trunk and floorpans are all solid and rust-free! There is a spot of surface rust below one brakelight. Sand it down soon and spot paint it and it will stop it. This car makes for a good daily driver but would be a good car for a restoration or race car because it has a good foundation to start with.
Some stuff I would like to mention about the car. The first and most noticeable is the dent in the front fender. I hit a deer one morning on the way to work and it got the fender and the front bumper. So those two pieces will need to be fixed or replaced or you can leave it like it is and drive it depending on your plans for the car. The other issue is the gauge cluster does not work. The speedometer and fuel gage work but thats it. The fix for this to pull the cluster out and replace the 2 small batteries in it that have died. Lastly this is not a new car so there are small things to fix like the glovebox handle and the sunroof handle.
I believe I am the third owner of this car. The previous owner had it for over 15 years and loved the car. I have all the reciepts and paperwork on all the maintainence he had done since he owned it.
If I have left anything out just ask any questions you have.
