How to stop odometer in my 99 Prelude
No, Im not doing this to fuck over a potential buyer, but my warranty is about to expire in about 100 miles, and I work so damn much I never have time to take it to get fixed. I just wanna do it for a week. How do I do this?
My suggestion is to call the dealership or whatnot, and let them know your situation. That you're about 100 miles from the warranty expiring and you just have not had the time to bring it in to get crap done to it, and that it might go over the set mileage by the time you can get them to look at it. They may allow it. If not, and you can't get it in to get it looked at, then mess with the odometer (I suggest not to). Just get rides to work and whatnot to prevent going over.

No matter what you do it's fucking illegal.
So you stop it for a week...then what happens when you sell the car 2 years from now?
Call the dealer, explain what's up and what the mileage is and make an appointment.
If they don't allow it then you're pretty much fucked

Before it gets locked:
There should be two screws to the top side of your gauge cluster, holding the bezel to the dash. Take those two out, and pop out the bezel, than there should be 3-4 screws holding the cluster in. Take those off, and unplug your speedometer.
Just dont get a speeding ticket.

ya you can get warrenties from used car dealers for an extra price
but dude you are stupid for even thinking about doing that. just a long lunch and drop the car off most if not all dealer ships will pick you up and take you to a dealer so they should be able to take you back to work how hard is that??????????????
