Washington Nationals Game
I have been on the metro rail once, driven into DC once.
So Im a n00b at this DC thing but really want to go see Manny play in a dodgers uniform.
Im coming from 757, what would be the easiest and most reliable way to get to the park with out coming back to my car on blocks?
I parked at the most south parking garage on the metro last time, right near alexandria I believe, think the station started with an S.
Would that be the safest way to go again? I know it cuts alot of driving time out of dealing with DC traffic, but I remember coming back after admiring the christmas lights, we were trapped in the garage and had to break out.
I got a week to plan this so lay it on the table. If you have paypal I might even throw in a tip.

You must have used the Springfield station. I haven't been to a game at the new park, but have heard parking is pretty ample...and metro also runs more trains during games. So either should work out pretty well.
It's actually not that bad to drive there. Usually minimum traffic, and park in a parking garage. I always have a parking pass for garage H though
a block away from the stadium
a block away from the stadium
Thanks for all the answers, hopefully I dont get locked in again.
Isnt the traffic in DC around 5-6pm bumper to bumper? I would have thought that anywhere up there would be worst than hampton roads around that time.

it bumper to bumper coming out of DC. Not coming in DC, you might hit bumper to bumper, but it only like 10-15mins, unless there an accident, then that a different story.
dont park at springfield. the parking garage closes at 12:30, the last train there is around that time. If you park at Pentagon Mall, you can get out and you wont even have to pay, its free after 12.
the ball park is at naval yard. basically you get out of the metro station and take a left and its right htere. dont drive there. parking is like 15 blocks away from the statdium unless you get a parking pass from someone with season tickets. prob not a good idea either since youve only driven in dc once.

If your going to drive up to the game park at RFK stadium(lot 8). Its free to park there and they also have free express buses that take you to the game.
