So i bought a new project car from a friend. Its a 95 mitsubishi 3000gt. DOHC, 5spd non turbo with 140k on the body/engine, 50k on tranny for only $500.Car needs head work witch wont be to much sense i work at a garage. Im probably just going to rebuild the whole engine. Never seen one of these around, so im not sure how these 3000gt handle/perform. I'll take any tips people have on these car, thanks

Jays is proper, as well as it has lots of loot and time tied up in it.

 

Those cars have weight issues. They're cool and all, but too much money for me.

 

Im sure the car is worth more then 500 as it is right now, so i couldnt pass it up, i talked him down from 1800 to 500. I've messed with dsm before with a 98 eclipse and hated it, i hope its alittle better

 

SL's are harder to modify than the vr4s meaning more $$$ (similar to the 420a vs the 4g63). Then don't have the same drive train. Also, they are a bit on the heavy side. However, they still feel great to drive and you can still make the car look awesome. Oh fyi, I used to own a Vr4. I sold mine, but everytime I see one I can't help missing mine. Doesn't suprise me that the tranny has been replaced.

You'll need to get used to that most likely.
