Default Good realtors?

Just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations on a realtor in the 757. Im trying to find a house preferably in the Newport News area but im open to look at anything really. Ive called on a few houses but I havent gotten too many good vibes from the guys ive talked to. This would be my first house and im trying to have an experienced realtor work with me. Any suggestions? Also did anyone get pre approved first for their loan or did you talk to the realtor first? Thanks!

My soon to be wife is a Realtor in the Hampton Roads area and code be of assistance to you. As far as your loan most Realtors would rather see you have a pre-approval letter before they show you around since showing you property cost them money and time (gas expenses, etc). Also, most Realtors would rather you have it from a bank instead of a broker (Wachovia, Suntrust, Bank of America) because deals through brokers may fall through where a pre-approval from a bank is more solid.

If you like my soon to be wife works for William E Wood and I can give you her contact info.

I am buying a house from a private seller and they also wanted to see a pre-approval letter. it helps for getting the loan process going later too. I've had a pleasant experience not dealing with any realtors. It has saved my wife and I alot of money also.

Unless you are selling a Realtor should not cost you a dime.
