obd1 b series code 9. cylinder position sensor
well i got a code 9 in my car which is a cylinder position sensor. the sensor is located in the distributor and i have since changed distributors with a good working one and i still get the code. does anybody know how to fix the problem. i did research and nothing helps out. i found a fix if i was running a obd2 ecu and im not, i am running a obd1 p72 unchipped. also another fix was to reset the timing but my timing is fine. i dont know what to do. any help would be appreciated. heres my car with list of mods.
91 crx hf
gsr bottom end
b16 head
gsr distributor
obd0-obd1 conversion harness
forgot to mention i am scanning my codes with a snap on scanner. i clear the code and it comes right back.

Because it's a swap, the first thing I always point to is the wiring. That's the weak point of 90% of the engine swaps out there, people fuck up the wiring or do something half-ass that fails later. Start there.
Oh, and check the conversion harness, a lot of them are piles of crap and tend to fail.

By the way, how are you running an unchipped P72 and a B16 head without getting a CEL for the IAB (GSR manifold secondary butterfly)? That's a little odd..
