tuning h22 in a 95 civic coupe
I have a 95 coupe with an h22 in it when the swap was first put in it was stock and ran like a dream pulled hard and was a great everyday driver then we took it out and sent the bottem end out to abbicus for them to put the arias pistons eagle rods and darton sleeves in it the pistons are the same compression as stock pistons once we got the block back we put it back together and put the swap back in since then the car has been running rough like running very rich when vtec kicks in vibrating mor then usual (solid urethane motor mounts) and the idle keeps hunting ive tried adjusting the distributor timing and playing with the idle but i cant seem to fix it i need to know is this something that can be fixed without tunning or is tunning the only option if tnning even is an option. please any input will help trying to get her back on the road thank you.

have you been checking the timing with a light? verify that the cams and crank are properly lined up as well.
just double check everything, even tho you may have already...sometimes a problem can get passed over if it's hard to spot (and even sometimes when it's easy to spot)

Re: tunning h22 in a 95 civic coupe
Because H22 sleeves arent very good for boost over time....I want the engine to last with boost and the compression on a h22 is perfect for boost.
Anyway i will double check everything again and take it to Accuracy to tune it...
Still any knowledge is appreciative
