just a quick question. i have a 2001 golf tdi and was wondering if i can pass inspection with my EGR removed (it is throwing a code too if that matters )
i still have the functional EGR but i just want to have to avoid riding with a rejection sticker on my car (still gotta go to work)
its exactly how i want it to be. Remove EGR put a straightpipe on and it eliminates me from ever having to clean soot out of the intake manifold. which is a pain in the ass.

i hear they do a visual inspection, but i dont think they see alot of TDis so i figured they might not notice the shiny pipe in there (90% is hidden with the engine cover regardless)
