B20 turbo or b20/Vtec??
Trying to decide whether to go B20 turbo or B20/Vtec. I have a 96 Civic Hatch and blew my ITR motor and only can salvage water pump, cams, valve springs, crank. Going to get a stock B20 and dont really know which way to go. If i sold my Vtec parts i could save up and get turbo. So which should i do?

Im thinkin more towards NA because im a little low on money right now and dont really have it to rebuild. So im guessing i need to go more toward reliability. Let me know your opinion....

Is your car OBD1, i'm guessing you were using that computer before on the car so yeah it would most likely start the car but I would still get it retuned for the B20/vtec

o i for got to add i still have the itr intake mani. and the throttle body so im thinkin if i go b20vtec it would pull nice with all my itr parts, plus i have a GSR trans with itr LSD. i dunno how long the block would hold up stock with a semi-built head.......providing i get a retune

Re: B20 turbo or b20/Vtec??
I was using a 2000 b20b (high comp) bottom but with a 96 gsr head. I was using 98 itr cams, 2000 itr throttlebody on a skunk2 pro series intake manifold. I would def recommend using the ITR parts you have. Mine did good for what it was. I wouldnt rev the living shit out of it all the time but i took it to 7800-8000 sometimes. I think you will like how it feels. If its put together well, you will see some good numbers from it. GL man

Re: B20 turbo or b20/Vtec??
thanks i dunno because iv never had a turbo car and have always wanted one so i guess i have so decision making to do. I just dont know if i would want to turbo a stock motor, kinda worried about the sleeves but i could use my ITR crank and a block guard to hold the block up. Can the stock b20 valvetrain hold up to around 10psi?
