Like Title says my speedometer stopped working..miles and everything? RPM still works no fuses are popped if thats even an option?.. everything else seems to work.

Kinda sucks b/c the car is waiting in germany im about to redeploy back there in a week and my buddy who has been holding onto just informs me that it didnt pass inspection. I would love to be able to just fix it when i get back instead of getting raped by the euro at the Honda dealership there.

 

VSS (Speed Sensor) possibly

 

if the check engine light isn't on then it is the gauge cluster. if it is then it is the vss

 

how easy is that to fix?

 

Fairly easy, the hard part would be getting to the sensor.

 

im not sure if their is a fuse for your speedo but i had my tach and speedo go out in my 95 civic ex and it was a blown fuse.so check the fuse for your speedometer

 

sorry i didnt see earlier where you said that no fuses were blown but thats not always the case.sometimes you cant see that the fuse is blown, meaning there not always blown at the top of the horseshoe sometimes they blow at the bottom of one of the legs.so double check the fuse to make sure that it is not blown at the bottom of one of the legs

where is the actually speed sensor located?

 

close to the rear mount on the transmission
