Smoked headlights
I searched but didn't find anything.
Anyways. So i was in a fender bender with my acura legend and the front headlight is scratched up and such. I was already thinking about getting smoked headlight covers for it, so i figure this way I can get them and not have to get a new headlight at the same time. Covers cover scratches, bingo; two birds, one stone.
Anyone know if these are legal here in VA? my tint is illegal (35% all around) so I don't want to get pulled over and then get owned for headlights+tint. that would not be fun. Here's a pic so you get the idea.

They're on ebay as well but I was going to get them from a forum member of Acura-legend.com.

I'm pretty sure its illegal to do that in VA. There was a guy that had them on, and every time he wanted to drive at night, he took them off. I don't know why. When my brother first got his bronco, a cop pulled him over to let him know his lights were dim and his alternator might be going bad.
what if I got brighter bulbs?
I did a quick google search and it said that you have to be visible from 200 ft but I dont know how accurate/descriptive it really was.

I doubt the covers, or physical tinting of the headlights is accepted. You're best bet is to call or ask a state officer, or go to an inspection station and ask to look through the "approved lighting equipment" of the book.
VA state law:

It's ether illegal during the day, or up to discretion.
