If VB evacuates then it's obvious but, if not then what do you think is better, parking garage or parents garage?

I know the parking garage is more stable but, none of them that I can think of are fully enclosed so you would have to worry about flying debris. Parent's garage really has no windows but, then I would worry about the roof falling on it or something.

I know this seems petty for some but, I'm just trying to get some ideas going about car storage. I mean it is the most expensive thing I own, but obviously my families saftey comes first and I'm working on that.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I think I'm more concerened about flooding for some reason.

Im hoping ODU wont seal off their parking garages and if they do, they wait till I put one of mine in there. Right now I am leaning towards leaving, I know a little about meteorology and if this one hits on the outer banks and makes a b-line for Norfolk/Virginia Beach, theres going to be major storm surge and wind damage. Even if its only a Catagory 2 hurricane.
