im trying to put a k20a jdm type-r into 2k1 civic. the engine i found on hmotorsonline.com has 15k on it. if i have honda install the motor will they (honda) still honor the mfkt warranty of 36,000 miles?

I think that they will only warranty the labor seeing as how you are getting the engine from a different place. I am not entirely sure though...

Honda will not honor your original warranty. The shop installing the motor should give you a warranty on labor only if you bring the motor to them though. Atleast that is how the Honda dealership I am at works.
