Default idiot question from an idiot newb rider

back story- my bike fell over in my driveway the other day and broke a few things. i had just bought a cover for it because i didn't want it exposed to the elements, apparently the wind caught the cover and tipped it over on the side opposite the kickstand. the kickstand on my bike is a little longer than average i think and my driveway is slightly inclined which actually made the kickstand even longer the way i parked it. so yeah the combination of these events caused me to say fuck it and make a claim on my insurance as an 'act of God'. well i just got the check and decided first thing i needed to do was make sure it doesn't happen again. so i just bought a rear stand. as i'm looking at it, it pretty much doesn't make me very comfortable in thinking it's any more stable now on the stand than it would be with just the kickstand, perhaps parked in the opposite direction more favorable to the incline of my driveway.

so what do you guys think? i likely won't be riding very much as i don't even break out my gear unless it's above 55 degrees and sunny, so it's basically going into a more or less 'storage' state, especially until i get the rest of the parts in (basically mirror, turn signal, and brake lever is all i'm worried about to ride again. the fairing and tail section that were fucked up can wait, and i'm not replacing the muffler, i can barely tell it's scratched). has anyone seen or heard of a bike tip over off a rear stand?

i seriously never thought i'd have this problem when considering buying a bike...

Invest in some frame sliders, more protection in case it happens again.

sorry, it's a hyosung gt250r.

apparently there are some no-cut frame sliders somewhere on the market, but i can't find anywhere to buy them. i suppose a hole in the fairing for a frame slider is better than replacing the fairing if it falls again.
